Last month, while visiting my parents in Brazil, I found one of my past works: a calendar for Synergex that I created in 2009.

However, it was more than just a calendar. It represented the essence and ambition of Synergex, a major distribution and logistics company with a presence in six countries across the Americas.
Although I was tasked with creating an institutional design, I saw it as a blank canvas ready to be filled with the vibrant colours of the countries where Synergex operates. I chose a square format for the calendar, a choice that was both aesthetic and functional. It was practical and didn't take up much space on the desk. I envisioned each month as a chapter in a saga that unfolds over a year, covering the six countries where Synergex has a presence: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico.
I started by capturing images I found of each country and then made collages using Adobe Illustrator. I vectorized symbols and representative images of each country, with one image joining another, forming the layout I had in mind.

With every project I take on, I reaffirm my love for design and the storytelling it can weave. This calendar was not just a desk item, but a reminder of the ability we have, to connect cultures and people through our art.
